Pengaruh Bctmp (Bleached Chemi Thermomechanichal Pulp) Terhadap Dosis Colourant Pada Pembuatan Kertas Copy Paper

ABSTRACT
Bleached Chemi-ThermoMechanical Pulp (BCTMP) is widely used in the paper industry due to its lower production costs. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of BCTMP on the dose of colourants, especially Optical Brightening Agent (OBA) and dye violet. Data was obtained from PI (Plant Information) and PMIS (Process Management Information System). The results of the analysis showed that the use of BCTMP increased the OBA dose to 7.5 kg/ton, compared to 4.5 kg/ton in formulations without BCTMP. The final brightness and fluorescence were actually lower in the use of BCTMP. The dose of dye violet has also increased from 85 g/t to 116 g/t. This suggests that the lignin content in BCTMP affects the need for colourants to achieve the desired colour brightness.
