Pra Rancangan Pabrik Akrilonitril Dari Propilen Dengan Desain Alat Utama Reaktor Amoksidasi Fixed Bed Multitube (R-101)

ABSTRACT
Acrylonitrile is a clear, colorless liquid with a slightly pungent odor. It is used as a chemical intermediate in the production of acrylic fibers, plastics, synthetic rubber, and numerous other products. The fluidized bed manufacturing process for acrylonitrile was developed by scientists at The Standard Oil Company (SOHIO). To meet the demand for acrylonitrile, a production plant with a capacity of 80,000 tons per year was designed and constructed in the Basilam Baru area. Acrylonitrile is synthesized from propylene, ammonia, and air via the ammoxidation process. The main equipment in this plant is a fixed-bed multitube ammoxidation reactor (R-101). The economic analysis of the acrylonitrile plant’s preliminary design indicates that the project is financially feasible, with a Net Present Value (NPV) of IDR 1,143,683,416,845, which exceeds the Total Capital Investment (TCI) of IDR 236,580,463,625. The plant also demonstrates strong economic indicators with a Break-Even Point (BEP) of 49.54%, a Payback Period (PBP) of 1.03 years, a Return on Investment (ROI) of 97.84%, and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 22.75%.
