ABSTRACT
Law No. 46 of 2009 concerning the Corruption Court which was established as one of the institutions that plays a role in eradicating corruption. However, in its implementation, it is not free from internal and external problems as a result of the very strong demands for eradicating corruption from the community. The judge recruitment system, the integrity of judges, the quality of judges' decisions, facilities and infrastructure, and the organization of the corruption court are internal problems that are currently in the spotlight of the community. The establishment of corruption courts in all districts/cities has added to the burden of the court's problems. The quality and quantity of ad hoc judges who examine cases are separate problems that are currently of concern to the community. This study will try to assess the needs and quality of judges in the corruption court. The results of this research are expected to provide input to resolve problems regarding the evaluation of the performance of the Criminal Court at the Pekanbaru District Court
