Peran Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (Bpbd) Dalam Meningkatkan Mitigasi Bencana Galodo Di Kecamatan Tanjung Raya Kabupaten Agam
The role of the Government is a series of actions and policies carried out by the government to carry out its duties, authorities, and obligations. The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) is a non-departmental government institution that carries out disaster management tasks in the regions, both provincial and regency/city. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in improving galodo disaster mitigation in Tanjung Raya District, Agam Regency and to identify factors that inhibit carrying out its role. This study uses Role Theory according to Musa (2017) which uses 3 indicators, regulators, dynamizers, and facilitators. The research method used in this study uses a type of qualitative method that is descriptive and data collection techniques through primary and secondary data sources obtained through the process of observation or observation, interviews and documentation by the researcher and then analyzed. The results of the study show that the role of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in improving galodo disaster mitigation in Tanjung Raya District, Agam Regency has been maximized, it can be seen from BPBD as a regulator where BPBD has a Strategic Plan to be a reference in carrying out disaster mitigation, then the coordination between the BPBD and the District and Nagari Governments is running well, and BPBD facilitates the facilities and infrastructure needed when a disaster occurs and Providing socialization and education to the community related to Galodo disaster mitigation.
