Analisis Drop Tegangan Pada Gardu Induk Perawang Pt. Pln (Persero) Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
Electric power is a primary necessity for modern society that must be delivered reliably. One of the common issues in distribution systems is voltage drop, which refers to the reduction of voltage from the source to the load due to line impedance. This study aims to analyze the magnitude of the voltage drop on the Libra feeder at the Perawang Substation of PT PLN (Persero) Pekanbaru. The analysis was carried out through manual calculations based on technical data, including a total line length of approximately 21.2 km using AAAC 150 mm² conductors and 12 distribution transformers with capacities ranging from 25 to 100 kVA. The parameters considered include load current, line impedance, transformer losses, and voltage on each phase. The results show that the maximum voltage drop on the Libra feeder reaches 0.99% on phase R, 1.37% on phase S, and 1.23% on phase T, equivalent to 197.53 V, 272.64 V, and 246.66 V, respectively. These values are well below the tolerance limit specified by SPLN 72:1987, which allows a maximum deviation of 5% from the nominal voltage (±1,000 V in a 20 kV system). This condition can be observed at the farthest section from the source, where the longer line length corresponds to a greater voltage drop. Validation with the study conducted by Arifin et al. (2023) shows an average difference of about 3–4%, yet both studies exhibit a similar pattern of voltage drop distribution. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Libra feeder at Perawang Substation operates under reliable conditions and complies with the SPLN 72:1987 standard. The resulting voltage quality remains within safe limits, ensuring that the distribution system can deliver electrical power to consumers without significant issues related to power quality.
