Hubungan Antara Rata-Rata Lama Sekolah, Umur Harapan Hidup Dan Tingkat Partisipasi Angkatan Kerja Terhadap Indeks Pembangunan Gender (Ipg) Di Kabupaten/Kota Se-Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACT
This research aims to find out what factors have a relationship and
contribute actively in increasing the Gender Development Index (GDI) in the twelve
districts/cities in Riau Province in the 2017-2023 period. Among the factors
studied, the Average Years of Schooling measures education indicators, Life
Expectanc measures health indicators, and Labor Force Participation Rate
measures economic indicators. This research is a type of quantitative research.
Using secondary data which is time series data (from 2017-2023) and cross section
data (10 regencies and 2 cities in Riau Province). The data was obtained from the
Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and BPS Riau Province. The data
analysis method used is quantitative descriptive analysis as evidenced by similar
previous research. The results of this study indicate that in Kuantan Singingi
Regency and Siak Regency, the aspect that is related to the increase in GDI is
Average Years of Schooling. Then, in Indragiri Hulu Regency, Indragiri Hilir
Regency, Pelalawan Regency, Kampar Regency, Rokan Hulu Regency, Bengkalis
Regency, Meranti Islands Regency, and Dumai City, Average Years of Schooling
and Life Expectancy contribute to GDI. Furthermore, in Rokan Hilir District, the
indicators Average Years of Schooling, Life Expectancy, and Labor Force
Participation Rate all have a relationship with changes in the GDI. In Pekanbaru
City and Riau Province, it is evident that Average Years of Schooling and Labor
Force Participation Rate contribute to changes in the GDI value.
