Histopatologi aorta torasika Rattusnovergicus strain wistarpada pemberiandietaterogenik Selama 5 minggu
Atherosclerosis process in human can be represented in white rat as the animal model. Atherogenic diet containing high cholesterol and cholic acid are needed to induce atherosclerosis in white rat (Rattusnovergicus). Vitamin D3 also can be added to the diet in order to make the process happens earlier. The goal of this research is to find out the difference of histopathologic image of thoracic aorta of Rattusnovergicus strain Wistar after being fed with standard andatherogenic diet for 5 weeks. This was an experimental laboratory research with post test only design. Twelve male rats were segregated into two groups labelled as control group fed standard diet and atherogenic group fed vitamin D3 and atherogenic diet (containing cholic acid 0,2%, fat 5% and yolk 2%) (n=6). The result showed feedingatherogenic diet for 5 weeks can induce the formation of accumulation of extracellular lipid in all samples of thoracic aorta of white rats, while feeding standard diet only can induce the formation of intracellular lipid in 2 samples of thoracic aorta of white rats. The Mann-Whitney test result shows p=0,003. As the conclusion, there is a significant difference of atherosclerosis score between atherogenicdiet compared with standard diet for 5 weeks.
