This study aims to describe the influence of the principal's leadership and
spiritual intelligence on the organizational commitment of elementary school
teachers in Pinggir District, Bengkalis Regency. The background of the problem
in this study is the principal of the Pinggir Elementary School, Bengkalis
Regency, from 329 teachers it was still found that teachers felt they were not fully
part of the school so that the enthusiasm of teachers in achieving school goals
was lacking. Then the teachers have not shown a great willingness to make
personal sacrifices for the good of the school and there are still many teachers
who come late and often leave early. The low organizational commitment of
teachers is a problem that needs to get attention from schools, especially
principals. Those who are more committed to their organization will be better
prepared to make various efforts for the success of the organization. The
collaboration between the principal's leadership and spiritual intelligence is
expected to be able to become a solid unit so that it can produce good
organizational commitment and in accordance with the achievement of goals.
The purpose of this study was to determine the positive influence of the
principal's leadership and spiritual intelligence on the organizational commitment
of elementary school teachers, Pinggir District, Bengkalis Regency. The
population in this study were all elementary school teachers who teach in Pinggir
District, Bengkalis Regency with a total population of 329 teachers. Sampling in
this study was carried out using simple random sampling technique so that a
sample of 181 teachers was obtained. The data collection technique used is a
questionnaire questionnaire which is carried out by providing responses to the
questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale. While the data analysis used is
descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. After conducting research and data
analysis, it was found that there was a significant effect between the variables of
the Principal's leadership (X1) and spiritual intelligence (X2) on the
organizational commitment (Y) of Elementary School teachers in Pinggir District,
Bengkalis Regency, which was shown between the Principal's leadership variable
(X1) on organizational commitment. teacher (Y) with a regression coefficient of
