Pengaruh Budaya Kerja Dan Supervisi Kepala Sekolah Terhadap Kinerja Guru SMP Kecamatan Bagan Sinembah Raya Kabupaten Rokan Hilir
This study aims to describe the influence of work culture and principal's
supervision on the performance of junior high school teachers in Bagan Sinembah
Raya District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The background of the problem in this study
are phenomena that indicate that the performance of teachers at the SMP Bagan
Sinembah Raya District, Rokan Hilir Regency is not yet maximal. Indicates that
teacher performance is still experiencing problems such as level of expertise
(professional), encouragement (motivation), service, responsibility and
dedication. Some teachers who experience a decrease in performance, such as
there are still teachers who are less enthusiastic in teaching, decreased morale,
work results are not achieved properly due to teachers in carrying out their duties
and responsibilities less than optimal. This can be measured from the planning of
the learning activity program. Teachers are not serious in compiling
administrative completeness such as the preparation of syllabus and lesson plans
(RPP). This research is quantitative, the research sample is 56 people, and the
data is collected by means of a five-choice questionnaire. Data were analyzed
using descriptive and inferential statistics. The result of the research is that the
influence of work culture variables on the performance of junior high school
teachers is obtained, and the influence of the principal's supervision variable on
the performance of junior high school teachers is obtained. In addition, there is
an influence of work culture and supervision of the principal on the performance
of junior high school teachers. This finding concludes that the better the teacher's
perception of the work culture and the supervision of the principal, the better the
performance of junior high school teachers. This research is expected to be useful
for improving the work culture and supervision of school principals and teacher
performance in carrying out their obligations when carrying out learning
activities and fostering students in schools.
