Perencanaan Strategis Sistem Informasi Menggunakan Metode Ward And Peppard Pada Bappedalitbang Provinsi Riau

BAPPEDALITBANG Riau Province is a government organization responsible for development planning, research and development in Riau Province. However, currently not all BAPPEDALITBANG business processes are supported optimally by the use of IS/IT so that organizational performance is not running effectively and efficiently. This research aims to formulate an IS/IT planning strategy in BAPPEDALITBANG Riau Province using the Ward and Peppard Method with SWOT Analysis, Value Chain Analysis and PEST Analysis techniques to obtain internal/external data, as well as McFarlan Strategic Grid quadrants to describe the application portfolio. Based on the SWOT analysis, strengths were found in the form of full support from the regional government, integration of information systems as a weakness, potential for development and utilization of IS/IT as an opportunity, and limited human resources in the IS/IT field as a threat. Value Chain Analysis identifies and connects various strategic activities at BAPPEDALITBANG and analyzes activities that generate value both from within and outside. PEST analysis shows opportunities to increase human resource capabilities in the field of information technology. Meanwhile, the McFarlan Strategic Grid quadrant produces eight recommendations for information systems that need to be built and developed in the future.
