Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Stad Berbantu Gimkit Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik SMP Pada Materi Zat Dan Perubahannya
IPTEK is an abbreviation of Science and Technology. As time goes by, science and technology are becoming more sophisticated and supporting the creation of new technologies. The era of industrial revolution 4.0 is an era where almost everything is controlled by technology, including in the world of education. The impact of the industrial revolution 4.0 era in the world of education is that there are more and more technology-based learning media that make it easier for teachers to deliver material, not even face-to-face. This technology-based learning media facilitates the learning process in terms of effectiveness and efficiency. To respond to this digital era, education must be able to adapt to technology that continues to develop with the aim of making it easier and helpful in the implementation of education, especially in learning evaluation activities. Evaluation means an action or process to determine the value of a person's (student's) learning success after carrying out the learning process. Developing learning evaluation tools that are accommodating to the teaching and learning process and are in line with advances in technology, information and communication are steps that need to be taken at this time. Using technology to help the learning process, especially in evaluation, can utilize games with educational games.
The purpose of this study was to describe the improvement in students' cognitive learning outcomes and to determine any significant differences in students' cognitive learning outcomes after the application of the STAD cooperative learning model assisted by Gimkit on the material of substances and their changes. The benefits for students are that it can improve cognitive learning outcomes, while the benefits for teachers are that it can be used as a reference in science learning, especially physics, to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMP Islam Ash-Shofa Pekanbaru starting in August-December 2024. The type of research used was Quasy Experimental Design with the research design being Posttest-Only Control Design. The research population was all students of class VII SMP Islam Ash-Shofa Pekanbaru. Sampling was based on the normality test and homogeneity test of the results of the previous daily material tests. Determining the experimental class and control class to be used as samples was done using the simple random sampling technique in a homogeneous class. The data collection instrument used was a written test of physics science cognitive learning outcomes. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques and inferential analysis techniques.
The results of the descriptive analysis show that the number of cognitive learning outcomes obtained by students in the experimental class with a very good category is 52.17%, while the cognitive learning outcomes of students in the control class in the very good category are 26.09%. This can be seen from the average value obtained by the experimental class, which is 81.45 with a very good category, while in the control class the average value obtained is 66.38 with a good category. Therefore, overall the values obtained indicate that the experimental class has a higher value compared to the control class. The results of the hypothesis test using the Independent Sample T-Test technique obtained a significance result of 0.002, which means it is smaller than 0.05, so it can be interpreted that there is a significant difference in the cognitive learning outcomes of students after the application of the STAD cooperative learning model assisted by Gimkit.
The results of the research that has been conducted obtained that there is a significant difference between classes that apply the STAD cooperative learning model assisted by Gimkit and classes that apply the STAD cooperative learning model alone, marked by an increase in students' cognitive learning outcomes. Where the experimental class has a higher average value compared to the control class. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model assisted by Gimkit is considered effective in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes on the material of substances and their changes.
