Analisis Kualitas Air Tanah Di Sekitar Tempat Pembuangan Akhir Muara Fajar Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
Groundwater is an important source of clean water for the community. However, groundwater can easily be polluted, especially in areas near the Final Disposal Site (TPA), such as the Muara Fajar TPA in Pekanbaru. This study aims to determine the quality of groundwater around the Muara Fajar landfill by measuring several physical and chemical parameters. Water samples were taken from several locations and tested directly in the field (insitu) and at the Pekanbaru City Health Laboratory UPT (exsitu). To determine the distribution of pollution, a mapping method with the Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) technique was used. The results showed that the groundwater temperature ranged from 28 ˚C to 29.6 ˚C. Total dissolved solids (TDS) ranged from 9.9 mg/L to 220.7 mg/L. Turbidity varied from 0.42 NTU to 63.6 NTU, while water color ranged from 0 TCU to 398 TCU. All water samples had an odor that did not comply with standards. The pH value ranged from 5.86 to 7.49. The iron content in water ranges from 0.01 mg/L to 4.45 mg/L, while the chromium content is in the range of 0.01 mg/L to 0.09 mg/L. From the mapping results, it can be concluded that the quality of groundwater around the Muara Fajar landfill has not met the standards, both in terms of physical and chemical parameters. The main problems found are the level of turbidity, color, odor, and high levels of iron and chromium in groundwater.
