Rancang Bangun Semantic Web Untuk Sistem Pencarian Informasi Akademik Berbasis Ontologi
The rapid development of information technology has brought significant changes in the field of higher education, driving the need for an effective and integrated academic information retrieval system. However, the current academic information system is often fragmented, making it difficult to integrate data and comprehensive analysis. To overcome this, this study proposes the design of an Ontology-Based Academic Information Retrieval System by utilizing Semantic Web technology. Ontology is used to map and connect academic data such as students, lecturers, courses, and schedules, allowing for better data integration and more intelligent and contextual information retrieval. The research method includes Ontology design using Protégé, Semantic Web implementation with RDF (Resource Description Framework) and SPARQL (SPARQL Protocol and RDF Query Language), and system testing with semantic query-based search scenarios. The test results show that the system is able to increase the efficiency of information retrieval with a precision of 85%. The results of this study prove that Ontology-Based and Semantic Web approaches are effective in overcoming data fragmentation and improving academic information services, while providing a strong foundation for the development of similar systems in the future.
