Analisis Perbandingan Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit Bersertifikasi Rspo Dan Non Rspo Di Kabupaten Rokan Hulu
ABSTRACT
Oil palm is a commodity that has experienced an increase in land area and productivity. This increase is due to the high economic value of oil palm itself. In 2022, the area of oil palm land in Riau Province is 3.4 million ha. This increase has caused negative issues both at home and abroad. Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is an organization formed to improve the governance of oil palm plantations. RSPO is expected to be able to improve the governance of oil palm cultivation and be able to have a positive impact on planters, especially the economy. This study aims to compare the application of GAP, FFB productivity, FFB prices, and income earned between RSPO and Non-RSPO smallholders. This study used a survey method, determining the sample using purposive sampling, the sample used was 30 respondents divided into two groups, namely 15 RSPO planters and 15 non-RSPO planters. The analysis technique used Independent sample T-test to see differences in the application of GAP, FFB prices, FFB production, and income received by smallholders. The results showed that there were differences in production and income between RSPO planters and non-RSPO planters, while the FFB price obtained by the two sample groups had no difference. The welfare of RSPO planters tended to be better than non-RSPO planters, because RSPO planters had better FFB production and income than non-RSPO planters.
