Strategi Bandung Choral Society (Bcs) Dalam Mempromosikan Budaya Indonesia

This study aims to determine and analyze how the Bandung Choral Society's strategy in promoting Indonesian culture through the Bali International Choir Festival after the Covid-19 virus outbreak as the biggest challenge. The focus of this study is on the role of the Bandung Choral Society in carrying out cultural diplomacy in choir festival activities. This paper uses a constructivist perspective, with a domestic level of analysis.
The theory used in this study is Cultural Diplomacy. The method used in this paper is qualitative and descriptive research by searching for several existing literature such as books, journals, internet articles, and using interviews with the founder of the Bandung Choral Society and participants from the Philippines as primary data in this paper.
The results of this study are that Indonesia's diverse culture is one of the main assets for the strategy carried out by the Bandung Choral Society in carrying out cultural diplomacy, especially in the Bali International Choir Festival. The Bandung Choral Society as a non-state actor that accommodates choir festivals in Indonesia has made various efforts to carry out cultural diplomacy. When the Covid-19 virus outbreak occurred, the Bandung Choral Society carried out a new strategy to increase the number of participants by prioritizing networking and switching to online competitions. The Bandung Choral Society also carried out a strategy in cultural diplomacy, namely by holding cultural activities such as the Friendship Concert, Folklore, Choir Exchange, Cultural elements in the logo, and good networking. The Bandung Choral Society's strategy in carrying out cultural diplomacy has proven successful with the introduction of Indonesian culture by respondents from the Philippines who participated in the Bali International Choir Festival in 2023.
