Pengaruh Penggunaan Larutan Ekstrak Daun Ketapang (Terminalia Cattapa) Dengan Dosis Berbeda Terhadap Penetasan Telur Ikan Patin Strain Pustina(Pangasionodon Hypophthalmus)
Pustina strain catfish is a fish produced based on a new variety in 2009 with a fast growth strain. One of the leading commodities favored by the public because of its economic value and high protein content. The adhesive of eggs become a factor in failure in cultivation efforts, so the eggs are soaked using an adhesive remover solution, namely a solution of Terminalia cattapa leaf extract, because its effective from other materials, easily available and economically valuable. The research was conducted in April 2025 at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Riau University. This study aims to obtain the effect of using Terminalia cattapa leaf extract solution with different doses on the hatching of Pustina eggs, and get the optimal dose. The method used is an experimental method using a one-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four levels of treatment and three replicates. The treatments used were P0 (Control), P1 (1 mL), P2 (2.5 mL), and P3 (5 mL) with Terminalia cattapa Leaf Extract Solution. The results showed that immersion of pustina eggs in a solution of Terminalia cattapa leaf extract with different doses for 15 minutes resulted in the best treatment in P3 (5 mL Terminalia cattapa leaf extract solution) with unattached egg adhesion 88.26%, egg fertilization rate 92.40%, egg hatching rate 78.31%, and larval survival 96.25%. The development of embryogenesis, eggs hatched at 24 hours 06 minutes.
