Analisa Pengaruh Viskositas, Impurities Dan Solid Terhadap Streak Pada

ABSTRACT
Paperboard is a thick and strong paper-based material that has 3 layers, generally used to make products such as packaging, boxes, and covers. In the process of making paperboard, coating is needed as a coating on the paperboard which will provide attractiveness and durability to the paperboard. Coating is a material used to improve the surface quality of paperboard. Quality improvement can be aimed at optical properties such as brightness, opacity, smoothness, printability and print image quality. Application of pigments to the surface of the paper can increase the brightness of the paper. This study aims to determine the percentage of streak occurrence and find out the correlation of each variable, namely impurities, viscosity, and solid content to streak. From the results of the study, the percentage of streak occurrence was obtained at 0.31% or 922.7 tons and it is known that each variable has a correlation to the occurrence of streak where when the value of each variable does not match the existing provisions, the possibility of streak occurrence will increase.
