Pengaruh Life Survival Strategy Terhadap Pendapatan Masyarakat Suku Akit Di Kepulauan Meranti
ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the effect of life survival strategies on the income of
the Akit tribe in the Meranti Islands. These strategies are analysed through five
types of capital, namely human capital, natural capital, physical capital, financial
capital, and social capital. This study employs a quantitative approach using
cross-sectional primary data obtained from 32 samples drawn from 32 household
registration cards (KK) of the Akit tribe, representing a total population of 122
individuals, using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was conducted
using multiple linear regression with SPSS software version 26. The results
indicate that, partially, only financial capital has a positive and significant impact
on income. However, simultaneously, all five types of capital significantly
influence income. The adjusted R-squared value of 0.501 indicates that 50% of
income variation can be explained by the independent variables in the model,
while the remaining 50% is explained by factors outside the scope of this study.
