Analisis Risiko Keselamatan Dan Kesehatan Kerja Menggunakan Metode Hirarc Pada Proses Harvesting Di Pt. X Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACK
Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is an important aspect that must be
considered in all industries, including the forestry industry. The forestry industry,
such as Industrial Plantation Forests (IPF), involves activities like harvesting, which
not only uses heavy machinery and tools like chainsaws but also requires workers
to interact with potentially hazardous environments. This study aims to analyze the
occupational safety and health risks associated with the harvesting process. Method
used in this study is Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control
(HIRARC), which consists of three stages: hazard identification, risk assessment,
and risk control. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection
was conducted through interviews with three informants, namely the HSE Manager,
HSE Staff, Safety Officer, and ten harvesters selected purposively. The criteria for
respondents were individuals working in the timber harvesting department.
Observations were conducted by analyzing the sequential causes of workplace
accidents during the timber harvesting process in the industrial forest of PT. X in
Riau Province. The literature review aimed to understand, critique, and analyze
relevant literature related to the research topic. Research results obtained from
hazard identification identified 45 hazards, and a risk assessment of the 45 hazards
revealed 10 risks categorized as low, 32 risks categorized as moderate, and 3 risks
categorized as high. Based on the results of hazard identification and risk
assessment, risk control measures were implemented to reduce the number of
workplace accidents. The results of risk control identified 3 risk control measures
that can be applied to the harvesting process at PT. X in Riau Province: elimination,
administration, and personal protective equipment.
