Konflik Internal Komunitas Adat Suku Talang Mamak (Kasus Perubahan Ritual Kumantan ke Tari Sirih Layang di Desa Rantau Langsat Kecamatan Batang Gansal Kabupaten Indragiri Hulu)

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the presence of the Sirih Layang Dance which is inspired by german rituals. The Sirih Layang dance is currently a dance to welcome guests. The kumantan ritual is a form of traditional medicine of the Talang Mamak Tribe led by a kumantan or shaman. The Kumantan ritual is still preserved to this day as part of the tradition in the Talang Mamak Tribe community. In its development, conflicts arise where there are differences of views between the preservation of tradition and cultural innovation. The purpose of this study is to describe the changes in the procedures and meaning of the Sirih Layang Dance inspired by german rituals, identify conflicts that arise with the presence of the Sirih Layang Dance inspired by german rituals, describe the beginning or cause of the onset of conflicts and conflict resolution as well as the results of conflicts to realize socio-cultural changes in supporting development. This type of research is qualitative. Using purposive techniques in determining the research subject. Primary data was obtained from interviews, observations, and secondary data in the form of documents. The results of the study show that changes in the Sirih Layang Dance inspired by the kumantan ritual occur as an adjustment to socio-cultural changes, The meaning, venue, props, movements, dancers costumes, performance time, and musical accompaniment are all tailored to the context of the performance. The main elements of the Kumantan ritual are still maintained as a source of inspiration so that the sacred values and cultural richness of the ancestral heritage are maintained. Conflicts arise, differences of opinion, understanding between cultural preservation and concerns related to respect for the values contained in the kumantan ritual related to the betel fly dance movement which is considered like the movement of the sang hyang, namely such as the movement and nyayian of shaman. Conflict resolution by means of compromise discussions, artists create and undergo adjustments to the Kite Bet. So that the elements of the Kumantan ritual still exist and continue to be carried out because it is an ancestral heritage tradition without reducing its sacred meaning. In this case, social changes in Rantau Langsat Village reflect efforts to develop tourist villages that prioritize cultural preservation and improvement of roads and transportation facilities. With good infrastructure, it is hoped that local potential will develop, tourist visits will increase, and community welfare will be realized without neglecting existing cultural values.
