This research was conducted at PT. Indonesia Asahan Aluminum (Persero) located in Kuala Tanjung, North Sumatra. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of training and work attitude on the ability and its impact on superintendent performance. The sample of this study amounted to 86 people with a population of 110 people. The research variables used are training and work attitude as independent variable, ability and performance as dependent variable. The research method used is path analysis method supported by SPSS 21 for windows. The result of the research shows that the training and work attitude have positive and significant effect on the ability and performance, also have positive and significant effect to the performance through the ability. Because each independent variable has a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable, it is recommended that PT. Inalum (Persero) pay more attention to the level of training and work attitude towards superintendent.
