Aplikasi Fungisida propineb untuk mengendalikan Fusarium Oxysporum Schlecht Penyebab Penyakit Rebah Kecambah bawang merah asal biji di persemaian
ABSTRACT
Shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) is one of the most widely consumed horticultural commodities by the public. It is commonly used as a seasoning ingredient in cooking. Due to its numerous benefits, the demand for shallots in Indonesia, including in Riau Province, remains high. One effort to increase shallot production is through the use of seed-propagated shallots, known as True Shallot Seed (TSS). TSS shallots have several advantages, but they are also susceptible to diseases, one of which is damping-off disease. Damping-off is a disease that affects various types of nursery plants and is caused by the fungus Fusarium oxysporum Schlecht. One of the commonly used methods to control damping-off is the application of synthetic chemical fungicides. Propineb is the active ingredient in the fungicide Antracol. It belongs to the dithiocarbamate group and is widely used in agriculture due to its high chemical and biological activity and low production cost. This research was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 6 treatments with 4 replications, resulting in 24 experimental units. The treatments applied were: no application of F. oxysporum and fungicide, and fungicide concentrations of 1.5 g.l⁻¹, 2.0 g.l⁻¹, 2.5 g.l⁻¹, 3.0 g.l⁻¹, and 3.5 g.l⁻¹. The data obtained were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) with the SAS application. The results of the variance analysis were further tested using Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the 5% significance level. The results showed that the application of fungicide at a concentration of 3.5 g.l⁻¹ had a more significant effect compared to lower concentrations and the treatment without fungicide. The parameters observed were the time of initial symptoms of damping-off disease after fungicide application, the percentage of seedlings attacked before emerging to the surface of the soil after fungicide application, the percentage of seedlings attacked after emerging to the surface of the soil after fungicide application, the height of shallot seedlings after fungicide application, the number of leaves of shallot seedlings after fungicide application, the dry weight of shallot seedlings after fungicide application and additional observations. The results obtained were analyzed statistically and analysis of variance and further tested with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the 5% level. The administration of fungicide concentration of 3.5 g.l-1 is a concentration that provides a more capable effect.
