Analisis Kinerja Sistem Proteksi Rocof Pada Sistem Pembangkit Energi Terbarukan
ABSTRACT
We are entering an era of energy transition, in which the use of fossil fuels is being increasingly replaced by new renewable energy sources, which are considered to be environmentally friendly and low in carbon emissions. This can be seen in the increasing number of decentralised power plants (PT), which are integrated by new renewable energy plants, one of which is the solar power plant (PLTS). However, this also creates new problems for the stability of the power system, one of which is the reduction of system inertia, which makes frequency dynamics more vulnerable. Distributed Generation (DG) ideally improves the reliability of the power distribution system because it can supply power directly to the load when the main source is inactive (islanding). However, this state is not fully achieved because the protection devices installed in the distribution system are not designed to detect unplanned off-grid conditions. The ROCOF (Rate of Change of Frequency) relai is one of the anti-islanding relais that operates on the basis of the rate of change of frequency. The purpose of this relai is to ensure that no distributed generation will operate if the main supply is lost. Based on the above issues, this study analyses the performance of the ROCOF relai in a new renewable energy generation system. The system data obtained is processed using DIgSILENT PowerFactory software and then validated with theoretical calculations. The result is a comparison of the tripping time or relai operating time in several case studies that will be carried out.
