Creative thinking is one of the 21st century skills that students must have in order to be able to solve problems and be able to adapt to the times. Therefore, efforts are needed from educators to facilitate students to become qualified graduates and be able to compete globally. Based on the literature review conducted, it shows that students' creative thinking skills are still low, this is evidenced by the low average achievement of creative thinking aspects in answering test questions. Therefore, students' creative thinking skills need to be improved in the learning process, one of which is by learning using STEM project-based media. However, the implementation process is still not optimal due to the lack of STEM facilities available at school. So that learning media is needed to support these learning activities. The STEM at Home kit comes as a learning media with a disassembly system that supports scientific and STEM learning. So that students can conduct experiments and work on projects using the kit. Therefore, learning using the STEM at Home Kit is suitable for use as an alternative in training students' creative thinking skills. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the STEM at Home Kit in training students' creative thinking skills on simple machine topic.
This study used a type of quasi experiment research with a non-equivalent post test only control group design. The population in the study included all VIII grade students who were divided into 10 classes. Then, 2 classes were selected after normality and homogeneity tests. The selected classes were class VIII.2 as the experimental group and class VIII.1 as the control group. The experimental group will be given treatment in the form of learning using the STEM at Home Kit and the control group using the SMP Science Kit. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 13 Pekanbaru in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 school year. The data collection method used was the creative thinking skills post test instrument in the form of an essay test. The results of the data obtained were processed using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis.

The results of the study through descriptive analysis, obtained creative thinking skills in the experimental group get an average score of 2.68 with a creative category and the control group gets an average score of 2.42 with a fairly creative category. These results show that learning using the STEM at Home Kit on simple machine topic improves students' creative thinking skills. The results of inferential analysis using SPSS obtained a significant difference in the average score of the post-test of creative thinking skills after treatment between the two groups with a Sig value = 0,021 < 0,05.
Based on the research that has been done, it is concluded that the level of creative thinking skills of students who apply learning using the STEM at Home Kit on simple machine topic at SMP Negeri 13 Pekanbaru is in the creative category, so learning using the STEM at Home Kit on simple machine topic is effectively used to train the creative thinking skills of junior high school students. To achieve a good learning, educators must carry out appropriate learning alternatives so that students' creative thinking skills can be maximally trained.
