model manajemen hubungan sekolah dan masyarakat berbasis budaya melayu di sd negeri 105 pekanbaru
This study aims to develop the school and community relationship
management model based on Malay culture (MHSM-BM model) and analyze its
effectiveness and the challenges encountered in implementation at SD Negeri 105
Pekanbaru. The MHSM-BM model was developed utilizing a Research and
Development approach, specifically through the ADDIE development model, and
applied data collection techniques including observations, interviews, and
document analysis. The collected data were subsequently analyzed through the
stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion formulation. The
findings of the study indicate that the development of the MHSM-BM model began
with an analysis of the relationship between the school and stakeholders, followed
by the design of a model integrating Epstein’s frameworks and 12 principles of
Tunjuk Ajar Melayu, which was subsequently developed through validation by
two expert assessors, implemented in school and community relationship
management practices, and finalized with an evaluation of its effectiveness in
enhancing stakeholder engagement.
The implementation of the MHSM-BM model has proven to be effective,
with a significant level of involvement from both students and parents, exceeding
90%. The success of this model is underpinned by six core frameworks, these are
character development, two-way dialogue, social care, sustainable learning, wise
decision-making, and empowered collaboration. Each of these frameworks not
only fosters closer collaboration between the school, students, and parents but
also contributes to the reinforcement of character building through the
internalization of Tunjuk Ajar Melayu values, and contributes to the enhancement
of students’ academic performance by fostering a more harmonious and
comprehensive learning environment. Although the MHSM-BM model
demonstrates effectiveness, several challenges have been identified in its
implementation. These challenges primarily concern the necessity for enhanced
synergy between educators, students, and parents to ensure the model’s sustained
implementation. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the MHSM-BM
model holds significant potential for broader application in school and
community relationship management practices, with the aim of fostering more
harmonious collaboration among schools and all relevant stakeholders.
