ABSTRACT
Crocodylus porosus is a protected species because of its high economic
value. This research uses the method using a quantitative method with
questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Data is analyzed on the likert
scale. The research results show that community perception of Estuarine
Crocodiles is high with a percentage of (43.23%) or 37 KK, and the level of
community conservation of Estuarine Crocodiles is low (45.34%) or 39 KK, but
the community's concern for danger remains and they also realize the importance
of the role of Estuarine Crocodiles in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem,
and comply with government and customary regulations prohibiting illegal
capture or hunting.
