Uji Beberapa Konsentrasi Cendawan Entomopatogen Beauveria Sp. Isolat Lokal Terhadap Hama Penghisap Buah Kakao (Helopeltis Theivora Waterhouse) Di Laboratorium
ABSTRACT
The entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria sp. is a fungus that can cause disease in insects and soil born because it naturally occurs in the soil. Beauveria sp. has a beauvericin toxin which interferes with the function of the hemolymph and nucleus of the host insect cell. This study aims to obtain the effective concentration of local isolate Beauveria sp. in controlling cacao pod-sucking pests (Helopeltis theivora Waterhouse) in the laboratory. This research was carried out experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications to obtain 24 experimental units. The treatment given was 0 g.l-1 aquades, 10 g.l-1 aquades, 20 g.l-1 aquades, 30 g.l-1 aquades, 40 g.l-1 aquades and 50 g.l-1 aquades. Parameters for observation were time of initial death (hours), daily mortality (%), 50% lethal time (hours), total mortality, temperature and humidity. The results showed that the concentration of local isolate Beauveria sp. 20 g.l-1 aquades with 0,315 x 108 conidia can be regarded as a bioinsecticide to control cacao pod-sucking pests (Helopeltis theivora Waterhouse) because it can cause total mortality of 77.50% with an initial death time of 22 hours after application and a lethal time of 50 at 73.75 hours after application.
