Pengaruh Pemberian Vermikompos Dan Pupuk N Terhadap Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Tanaman Bawang Merah (Allium Ascalonicum L.)
ABSTRACT
Shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) is a vegetable commodity that has high nutritional value and economic value. Inceptisol soil has low nutrient availability which causes this soil to contain few macro and micro nutrients. This study aims to increase the growth and production of shallots by administering vermicompost and urea fertilizer, and to obtain the best dosage of vermicompost and urea fertilizer and to determine the best combination of treatments for the growth and yield of shallot plants. The research was carried out at the Experimental Garden Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau from September 2021 to December 2021. The research was carried out experimentally using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatment tested was the dose of vermicompost (V) consisting of V0 (0 g.5 kg-1), V1 (25 g.5 kg-1), V2 (50 g.5 kg-1), V3 (75 g.5 kg-1) and the dose of urea fertilizer (N) consisted of N0 (0 g.5 kg-1), N2 (0.25 g.5 kg-1), N3 (0.5 g.5 kg-1). Parameters observed were leaf length, number of leaves per hill, number of tubers per hill, tuber girth, fresh tuber weight, average tuber weight and tuber weight fit for consumption. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and further tested with the Honest Significant Difference (HSD) at the 5% level. The results showed that giving a vermicomposed dose of 30 t.ha-1 increased the growth and production of shallot plants the best compared to other doses, giving a dose of urea fertilizer 200 kg.ha-1 increases the growth and production of onion plants the best compared to other doses and the combination of vermicomposed 30 t.ha-1 shows the highest results for the parameters of leaf lenght, number of leaves, number of tubers per clump, average bulb warp,weight of fresh bulbs, average weight of tubers, and weight of tubers fit for consumption.
