Pemberian Pupuk Magnesium Dan Kalium Terhadap Produksi Tanaman Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq.) Di Lahan Gambut
ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of single factors and the interaction of magnesium and potassium fertilizer application on the production of oil palm plants (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) on peatlands and receive the best treatment. This research was conducted in Kepau Jaya Village, Pantai Raja District, Kampar Regency. The study was conducted for seven months from June to December 2022. This study was conducted experimentally using a factorial group randomized design. The first factor is magnesium fertilizer with 3 levels, namely M0: 0 kg per plant, M1: 1 kg per plant, M2: 2 kg per plant. The second factor is potash fertilizer with 4 levels, namely K0: 0 kg per plant, K1: 2 kg per plant, K2: 4 kg per plant K3: 6 kg per plant. The parameters observed were the number of female flower bunches, the number of male bunch flowers, sex ratio, number of fruit bunches, fruit bunch weight, fresh fruit weight, fresh fruit volume, and mesocarp thickness. The results showed that the application of magnesium fertilizer 2 kg per plant increased the weight of fruit bunches. Application of potash fertilizer 6 kg per plant increases the weight of fruit bunches, the weight of fresh fruits, the volume of fresh fruit and the thickness of the mesocarp. The interaction between regulation of the number of fronds and the application of potash fertilizer did not affect all observed parameters of oil palm yield.
