Analisa Kinerja Sistem Radio Over Fiber (Rof) Input Radio Frekuensi (Rf) Irreguler Phase Menggunakan Teknik Modulasi Qam
ABSTRACT RoF (Radio Over Fiber) is a system where radio frequency (RF) signals are transmitted via optical fiber which is used to support wireless communication services. In this research, an irregular phase radio frequency (RF) input RoF system is designed for a wireless communication network with a working frequency of 60 GHz. The design of this RoF system uses the irreguler phase method to overcome DPF (Dispersion Power Fading) at the receiver and QAM modulation technique for information to be transmitted through the optical channel of the RoF system. The type of fiber selected in the designed RoF system is SMF (Single Mode Fiber) with a fiber length of 0 km - 5 km whit a change fiber leght every 100m which ignores the attenuation. The RoF system design was simulated using Optisystem 7.0 software. Irreguler phase radio frequency (RF) input RoF system using 4-QAM modulation technique gives BER and Q-factor results at the critical point of power loss in fiber lengths of 0.9 km and 3 km with BER gain of 1,38 x 10-296 and 3,47 x 10-110 and Q-factors 36,78888 and 22,2699. The simulation results were analyzed and verified to have met the requirements of a working frequency of 60GHz, BER ≤
, Q-Factor ≥ 6 and signal constellation in the right quadrant position. Irreguler phase radio frequency (RF) input RoF system cannot work on 16-QAM and 64-QAM modulation techniques.
