This paper discusses the existence of iterative method for obtaining the least squares solution to the system Ax = b that have rank-decient. Since the system Ax = b is inconsistent, then a consistent system Mbx = bb, which is the augmented system associated with Ax = b, is used. Then an iterative method of the form (M + γE)bxi = γEbxi
