Strategi Pengembangan Industri Rumah Tangga Kue Basah Tradisional Di Kota Pekanbaru
This study aims to determine the internal factors and external factors so
that it can be seen the most appropriate development strategy to be applied to the
traditional home baking industry in Pekanbaru City. The analytical method used
is the SWOT analysis. The results of this study indicate that internal factor
analysis has a total score of 3.33 and external factor analysis has a total score of
2.43 so it is known that the IE matrix is in cell IV position with a stability
strategy. The SWOT matrix calculation results are in quadrant 1, which is
aggressive, so the main strategy is SO (Strength Opportunities), which is to
overcome the existing weaknesses by utilizing opportunities that arise.
Recommendations given from this research are to increase product promotion,
and to innovate, both in taste, type, shape, packaging, even the place of
production or shop, to be more attractive to consumers and have unique
characteristics.
