Two chalcone derivatives have been synthesized from 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde with 1-acetylnaphthalene using KOH 6 N catalyst by aldol condensation using microwave iradiation and 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde with 2-acetylnaphthalene using SOCl2 catalyst using stiring method.
