ABSTRACT
Employee retention is an important issue given the enormous challenges faced by the oil and gas sector, such as work that is often carried out in remote locations, long working hours, and high work risks. Although companies have implemented various policies to support employee welfare. To reduce turnover rates and increase retention, companies need to pay more attention to employees' work-life balance by providing greater flexibility in terms of leave, as well as ensuring that the reward system provided is in line with the level of pressure and responsibility faced by employees. This study aims to test and analyze the effect of training, reward and work-life balance on employee retention at PT General Buditekindo (GBT) Duri. The sampling technique in this study used simple random sampling and obtained a sample of 163 respondents. The data analysis method used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that training, rewards and work-life balance partially affect employee retention. In addition, the simultaneous test indicates that these three independent variables collectively have a significant effect on employee retention. Based on these findings, it is recommended that PT General Buditekindo (GBT) Duri continue to improve the quality of training, reward, and work-life balance programs to retain high-performing employees and reduce turnover.
