Pengaruh Supervisi Kepala Sekolah Dan Motivasi Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Guru SMA Negeri Kecamatan Bangko Pusako Kabupaten Rokan Hilir
This study aims to analyze the effect of principal supervision and work
motivation on the performance of SMA Negeri teachers in Bangko Pusako
District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The background of the problem in this research is
that teachers do not have optimal teacher performance. There are still many
teachers who carry out their duties and their performance is not in accordance
with the tasks given. The condition of the performance that has not been optimal,
in this study, was analyzed by linking the supervision of the principal and work
motivation. Supervision of the principal is needed so that teachers can carry out
their duties properly in accordance with the rules to achieve educational goals.
The better the supervision of the principal in carrying out his duties, the better the
performance of the teacher. In addition to the supervision of the principal,
another factor that affects teacher performance is work motivation. Work
motivation is a series of traits, which are judged to come from within or from
outside the teacher which is considered to be the main force in influencing
teacher behavior. This illustrates that work motivation is a state or condition in a
series that directly or indirectly, consciously or unconsciously can affect the
teacher. Quantitative type, sample 44 people and. Data were collected by using a
questionnaire to determine five choices and then the data were analyzed using
descriptive and inferential statistics. After conducting research and data analysis,
it was found that the effect of principal supervision on teacher performance in
Bangko Pusako District, Rokan Hilir District was 26.3%, illustrated by each
increase of one unit of principal supervision, it will be followed by teacher
performance of 0.368 one unit, the effect of work motivation on the performance
of SMA Negeri teachers in Bangko Pusako Subdistrict, Rokan Hilir Regency is
11.4%, this is illustrated by each increase of one unit of work motivation, it will
be followed by an increase in teacher performance of 0.255 one unit and the
influence of principal supervision and work motivation on teacher performance by
59.7%, this is illustrated by every increase in the supervision of the principal of
one unit, the teacher performance variable will increase by 0.346 one unit and for
every increase in work motivation by one unit, the teacher performance variable
(Y) will increase by 0.216 it will be followed by an increase in performance
teachers of 1,591 one unit.
