group in Belemen Village. The method used in this research is descriptive
research using a qualitative approach determined by the snowball technique in
finding informants.
The components of social capital formed in the Bilis Asam fisherman group
are trust, institutions, and social networks. Trust in the Bilis Asam fisherman
group is considered quite good. However, the honesty value of Bilis Asam
fisherman members is not perfect because some fisherman members have not
returned cash loans to the group. The institutions owned by the Bilis Asam
fisherman group are considered good, while the social network is considered quite
good. Lack of participation of fisherman members in the management of the
organization. The social relationship of the Bilis Asam fisherman group with other
groups is considered good, but gathering together is not often done because they
are busy at work. The social capital role of the Bilis Asam fisherman group, in
terms of bonding, is considered quite good, but monthly meetings are held only
occasionally. Bridging activities include meetings of the Bilis Asam fishermen
group with the Fisheries and Marine Service, fish quality assessments, group
meetings, monthly production reports, UMKM assessments and periodic repairs
of fishing gear. The linking activity is considered poor because the distribution of
aid for fishing gear is not evenly distributed.
