Penggunaan Limbah Padat Pulp Green Liquor Dregs Dan Slaker Grits Dari Pt Indah Kiat Pulp Dan Paper Untuk Aplikasi Produksi Genteng Beton
The solid waste of pulp green liquor dregs comes from the recovery boiler which
contains high sodium carbonate (Na₂CO3) and solid waste of pulp slaker grits is
lime which does not react between green liquor (Na₂CO3) and calcium oxide, also
known as lime (CaO), the main content is sand which containing hydroxide. The
method used in this research is mixing. This research was conducted with a ratio
of 1 cement: 2 lime: 3 sand and the addition of green liquor dregs waste, slaker
grits with a percentage (0; 5; 10 and 15%) to the reduction of the amount of sand
which aimed to characterize solid waste pulp green liquor dregs, slaker grits with
Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF)
instruments, concrete tile products with X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) and Scanning
Electron Microscopy (SEM) instruments and analyzed the effect of adding solid
waste based on the optimal ratio for making roof tiles according to SNI 0096-
2007. The results obtained based on the chemical composition test on solid waste
pulp and concrete tile products are that there are compounds that made up building
construction, such as SiO₂ and Al₂O3 as fillers, CaO as adhesive and Fe₂O3 as
hardener. The results of functional group analysis showed that the characteristic of
solid waste pulp green liquor dregs was at a wave number of 712.73 cm-¹ and
slacker grits at a wave number of 780.24 cm-¹ which was indicated by the presence
of the CO3²- functional group. Morphological analysis of the concrete tile product
found that the tile has a grain size, the pore diameter is smaller and denser so that
the tile product formed is getting better and stronger. The effect of adding solid
waste pulp dregs, grits based on the ratio of the addition of waste dregs, the
optimal grit for making roof tiles is the addition of 5% waste, with tile water
absorption 6.4% with SNI 0096-2007 maximum tile water absorption of 10% and
tile compressive strength obtained is 19.7 MPa with SNI 0096-2007 tile
compressive strength of at least 6.0 MPa.
