Prototype Pembangkit Listrik Menggunakan Energi Suara Berbasis Membran Dan Piezoelectric
ABSTRACT
The energy crisis is a problem for all countries because the availability and
world's fossil fuel reserves are depleting every time. Departing from these
problems came the idea to find renewable energy sourced from sound energy.
Sound energy has wide availability, such as in roads, airports, markets, industry
and so on. In this study, sound energy is captured or harvested using a vibrating
membrane method. The generating system in this study has a mechanism, namely,
when the sound frequency is the same as the membrane's personal frequency, the
system will resonate, this is utilized as electrical energy by using 80 piezoelectrics
which are installed parallel to the latex type membrane with a size of 45 cm x 45
cm. The vibrating membrane system produces an electrical Voltage response that
can be processed using an ADC (Analog to Digital Converter) device, then the
data is analyzed to obtain the maximum Voltage. The power generation system
will vibrate at its own personal frequency of 227 Hz, where this frequency is
determined by performing a bump test. At a frequency of 227 Hz, the generating
system produces the largest electrical power, which is 151.54 mW. The electrical
power generated in the sound energy generation system can be stored in the
battery, then it can be applied to various things, one of which is turning on the
LED lights.
