Pembuatan Mesin Spinner Multi Fungsi Kapasitas Tiga Kilogram

ABSTRACT
Spinner food driying is a machine that functions as a drain in the form of water or
oil found in food. This final project aims to assist the process of increasing
production results in draining the oil from frying food, both on a medium the
industrial scale and a household scale (UMKM). This draining machine has main
components, namely an electric motor, a shaft, a drum, a pulley, and a bearing.
The spinner food drying machine’s frame is made of steel hollow with a size of 20
mm x 20 mm. The tube and basket for the draining machine are made of
aluminum plates with a thickness of 0.5 mm, and the electric motor used is a
single phase with a power of ¼ hp, a speed of 1400 rpm. The manufacturing of
spinner drying machine’s components were carried out including welding on the
frame, turning on the shaft and drilling the frame and shaft. All the components
were assembled into the spinner drying machine, which the capacity of a three
kilogram of workpieces. The spinner machine performance was tested using the
cassavas and potatoes of a 3000 grams weighing. The cassavas and potatoes were
fried, then it was drained using the spinner drying machine. The result was
revealed, the maximum draining time for the work pieces of five minutes.
