Kaji Eksperimental Pengaruh Beban Terhadap Laju Keausan Dan Koefisien Gesek Pada Wet Contact Pin-On-Disc Menggunakan Mineral Oil Sae 10w-30 Dan Full Synthetic Oil Pao 10w-40 Pada Temperatur 60oc.
ABSTRACT
In general, every moving object always experiences friction, this friction occurs
when there is mechanical contact that works on two components that come into
contact. If this friction occurs continuously it will cause some losses, one of these
losses is causing wear. There are several factors that affect the value of the wear
rate and friction coefficient, such as loading factors, lubricants on surfaces that
have contact, and tempertatur of lubricants. . This final task research aims to find
out the effect of loading factors and the effect of temperature from lubricants on
the rate of wear and friction coefficient. In this test used a tribometer tool with pin
on disc type as a test tool. Lubricant used is full synthetic oil PAO 10W-40 and
mineral oil SAE 10W-30, the lubricant will be tested with a temperature condition
of 60oC. For the material of the pin and disc is ST-37 steel. The results of this test
are the highest total wear rate value on full synthetic oil PAO 10W-40 is at a load
of 8 kg with a value of 1.80795 × 10-14 m3/Nm. In mineral oil SAE 10W-30
temperature of 60oC the highest total wear rate is 8 kg which is 3.78774 × 10-14
m3/Nm. For the value of the friction coefficient in full synthetic oil PAO 10W-40
temperature 60oC the highest value is in the load of 2 kg of the third test with a
value of 0.003852. In mineral oil SAE 10W-30 temperature 60oC the highest
friction coefficient value is in the load of 2 kg of the third test with a value of
0.003878.
