Analisis Potensi Wilayah Untuk Pengembangan Ternak Ruminansia Di Kabupaten Rokan Hulu

ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the potential of the area (HR, SDA,
Infrastructure, and Land Conditions) in Rokan Hulu district as one of the areas to
support the potential development of ruminants and to find out whether ruminants
are superior livestock and deserve to be developed in Rokan district. Upstream.
The method used in this research is descriptive and quantitative methods. This
research was conducted in Rokan Hulu district, namely North Tambusai District.
The data collection technique used is primary data, namely a questionnaire.
Analysis of the data used is Location Quotient (LQ) analysis. The results of this
study indicate that the potential of the area for the development of ruminants can
be seen from human resources, natural resources, infrastructure and land
conditions. All villages in North Tambusai District can be used as areas for the
spread and development of ruminant livestock, but from the results of DD and
IDD calculations obtained 5 villages that are most suitable for the spread and
development of beef cattle farming, namely Pagar Mayang Village, Simpang
Harapan Village, Tambusai Village North, Tanjung Medan Village and Mahato
Village.
