Analisis Struktur Ekonomi Dan Identifikasi Sektor Unggulan Dalam Perekonomian Daerah Kabupaten Rokan Hilir

ABSTRACT
This research was conducted in Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province aimed to
study the potential and identify patterns of growth and distribution of the
economic sectors to support regional economic progress in Rokan Hilir Regency.
This research uses quantitative approach in the forms of numbers published by
Central Bureau of Statistics of Riau Province and Rokan Hilir Regency. The data
used in this study is Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at constant prices
for Riau Province in 2011-2020 and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP)
at constant prices for Rokan Hilir Regency in 2011-2020. The analytical tools
used are Location Quotient (LQ), Shift-Share, Klassen Typology, Localization
Index, and Specialization Index. The result of this study shows that the Mining
and Quarrying sector as well as the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries sector
are the basic sectors and are classified as advanced sectors with great growth
and contribution in shaping the GRDP of Rokan Hilir Regency. However,
heretofore the distribution is diversified or there is no concentration and does not
have a special activity that is specialized relatively to Riau Province. In full
knowledge of the available potentials, the government as policy makers is
expected to be able to inflate it in order to support regional economic progress
and giving heed to small developing sectors in order to create big impact in the
future.
