ABSTRACT
In 2020, the National Unmanned Fast Boat Contest (KKCTBN) was held with the
theme "maritime technology in handling Covid-19" which is one of the important
agendas for the student sector at the National Achievement Center, Ministry of
Research, Education and Culture of Indonesia, in terms of developing innovation.
maritime technology to take part in the idea of overcoming the COVID-19
pandemic that is currently engulfing the world, especially in remote island areas
far from city centers and causing slow handling. In this study, the design and
testing of the prototype of the Covid-19 monohull electric ambulance was carried
out for the Unmanned Fast Boat Competition. The selected competition category
is the ERC (Electric Remote Control) innovation design competition with a
monohull hull ambulance model for handling Covid-19 patients in island areas
far from urban centers. The prototype ship designed has a main size with a length
of 0.9 m, width 0.3 m, height 0.25 m and a draft of 0.07 m to get a prototype ship
displacement of at least 5 kg according to competition regulations. The ship
design process uses Maxsurf and Autocad software to get resistance, stability, and
ship prototype motion.
