ABSTRACT
This study aims to find out the description of the business model in the
center of the sago derivative industry in the Meranti Islands Regency when viewed
with the Canvas Business Model approach. The method used in this research is
descriptive method. The population of this study were 2 people consisting of 2
business owners of sago noodles and sago rendang. The results of this study
indicate that based on the Business Model Canvas analysis, namely: With the
existence of these Costomer Segments, sago-derived entrepreneurs get benefits in
the form of increased income due to the purchase of sago-derived products from
Costomer Segments. Sago-derived entrepreneurs with the existence of Channels in
selling their products can increase income because of smooth communication
between sago-derived entrepreneurs and consumers through social media,
telephone and so on. Entrepreneurs of sago derivative products benefit from a
good customer relationship, namely by seeking identification from businesses that
are already operating so that they can continue to run optimally. One of the
identifications carried out is making new innovations in making sago noodles and
doing something to make sago noodles last longer. Revenue streams in business.
This is done so that entrepreneurs can increase profits every year because sales
can be made online, traveling around the village to offer existing products to the
surrounding community. Key resources such as having trained and skilled
resources in the manufacture of sago derivative products or sales promotions.
Key Avtivities (Main Activities), namely in the processing of sago noodles takes
approximately 1 day because it needs to be dried first and the processing of sago
rendang is processed in a short time not too long. Fixed Key Partners, so that
they can benefit entrepreneurs of sago-derived products because the products
produced already exist that accommodate without any production limits, namely
small traders and wholesalers. Cost structure is cheap for each production. This
is because the costs incurred to produce sago-derived products are not expensive
in buying raw materials.
