Manajemen Kebakaran Gedung Di Kota Pekanbaru

This research was being backed up by a buliding fire case that keeps rising every year in pekanbaru city. To reduce the cases of high-rise fires, Pekanbaru city government implemented fire management of buildings in Pekanbaru consisting of fire prevention, fire fighting, and rehabilitation that were implemented by Fire and Rescue Department. However, in the implementation of fire management in Pekanbaru it hasn’t been done as it should be.
The purpose of this research are to know the implementation of fire management of the buidings by the fire and rescue department of Pekanbaru City and to know what are inhibitory factors in the implementation of buildings fire management in Pekanbaru City. This study uses a qualitative research method approach that is descriptive. Primary data acquired directly through interviews, observations, and documentation are related to building fires management in Pekanbaru City.
The result of this research indicate that the implementation of building fire management in Pekanbaru City has not yet achieved the expected results, where in its implementation the facilities and infrastructure as well as the budget for the fire and rescue department of Pekanbaru City are limited, dense urban governance of Pekanbaru City, the government’s lack of attention in implementing building fire management, and the lack of coordination with related parties are the cause of th implementation of building fire management in Pekanbaru City not achieving the expected results.
