Abstract
The harvesting process plays an important role in the palm oil industry, especially the
separation of oil palm fruit. Separation of oil palm loose fruit aims to separate oil palm
fruit based on the quality of maturity. The action that can be taken is making a palm
kernel oil separator machine to separate the loose fruit from the bunch. The manufacture
of this machine is the result of a survey conducted with the component specifications of
the overall tool size 153 cm long, 136 cm high and 71 cm wide. A bat with a diameter of
101.6 mm and a length of 600 mm. The engine is driven by a 5.5 hp Mikawa petrol motor
with a max 3600 rpm and an engine capacity of 41 kg/minute. Machine making is done
by turning, welding, drilling, cutting and plate work. The machine that is made is able to
separate loose palm oil and there is an increase in capacity from 0.71 kg/minute to 41
kg/minute.
