ABSTRACT
The buildup of old documents that are no longer used often occurs in offices and campuses. The old document can be sold to a paper collector but not with its contents. Many of the old documents are confidential which before being sold is required to be cut so that the contents are not known. To cut the paper, a document shredder was made with these 4 blades. The tool consists of several main components that include a cutting plate with an inclination angle of 45̊so that the document can slide towards the cutting knife, then slide freely out which caused by a slope on the cut plate. Other components are in the form of an electric motor, pulley, belt and frame that serve as a place for laying all components. The manufacturing process of this tool includes welding, machining and working of plates. For the cut result of this tool produces 5 parts, the result is enough so that the contents of the document cannot be known, As for the capacity of one cut reaches 50 sheets with a time span ranging from 8-10 seconds for one processing process.
