Abstract The efficiency is very important aspect for a business to find out whether the resources used in a business's production are appropriate in their use, the efficiency very diverse, one of the efficiency use for determine the used of resources in technical efficiency. The goals of the research are (1) Counting the total cost and revenue of the Vannamei shrimp farming business (2) Counting Vannamei shrimp farming business income (3) Identification the technical efficiency of Vannamei shrimp farming business in Ulakan Tapakis district , Padang Pariaman regency, West Sumatera. the approach or method used to determine the technical efficiency of Vannamei shrimp farming is Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). This research was conducted in Ulakan Tapakis in April 2022. The total cost received by Vannamei shrimp farming is an average of IDR. 505,107,997, the income received by the shrimp farming business in Ulakan Tapakis district is average of IDR. 1,082,018,333 with an average income of Vannamei shrimp farming in ulakan tapakasi of IDR. 576,910,357. the technical efficiency achieved in the Vannamei Ulakan Tapakasi shrimp farming business in two ponds hasn’t been technically efficient so that it’s necessary to reduce inputs, the efficiency scores of the two ponds are 0.91 and 0.95, respectively.
