Strategi Pengembangan Industri Tenun Di Kecamatan Bukit Batu Kabupaten Bengkalis

The purpose of this study was to determine the strategy of developing the weaving industry in Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency. The population in this was study was the entire weaving industry in Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency, according to data from the industry and Trade Office of Bengkalis Regency, totaling 8 industries and the sample used in this study was 8 industries. Analysis of the data used in this research is using SWOT analysis. Based on the results of the SWOT diagram, it is known that the weaving industry in Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency is in quadran 1 position, namely, strengths are greater than weaknesses and opportunities are greather than threats so that the right strategy to be applied to the weaving industry in Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency is a strategy SO, namely: 1) The existence of various kinds of products produced is utilized with the support of the government through exhibitions of weaving and weaving culture. 2) The existence of technological developments is utilized by developing the skills of a more skilled workforce.
