ABSTRACT
Introduction: Mental disorders are clinical symptoms in the form of syndromes or behavioral and psychological patterns that can cause sufferers to become uncomfortable, and affect their daily lives such as social roles. Purpose: To know the description of public perception on people with mental disorders. Methods: This study uses a simple quantitative descriptive design, with a total of 40 respondents using a total sampling technique. The instrument used in this study uses a perception questionnaire from Sari research (2018) through validity and reliability tests. The analysis. Results: This study explains public perceptions of people wiht mental disorders generally get result as many 33 respondents (82,5%) in the good category. Public perception is divided into 2 subvariables consisting of external perceptions and interbal perceptions, external perceptions get resulst as many 33 respondents (82,5%) in the good category and internal perceptions as many as 19 respondents (47,5%) in the category. Conclusion: This study shows that respondents results in giving perceptions of people with mental disorders ae quite good.
